Christmas embargo period

November 17th, 2015

Christmas baubles

Silly season is almost upon us and with this comes the telecommunications industry Christmas embargo’s imposed by our carriers.

This year, our embargo will occur from Monday 14th December 2015 until Monday 11th January 2016. These embargo dates are aligned to cover all of our carriers.

What’s an embargo?

During the embargo, we will not be performing any network changes or non-essential provisioning tasks.

Porting will continue to be processed as per usual and in-line with industry regulations, however, customers should be aware that delays may be incurred due to embargo periods and/or reduced support staff with related carriers.

Orders will continue to be processed as usual, subject to normal business hours.

What does this mean for you?

The main impact to you will be possible delays to provisioning time frames over the Christmas period. It’s possible that some orders take longer to complete and you should set your end users expectations accordingly. You may also find that some faults take a bit longer to resolve, again, we recommend that you set your end user expectations to avoid frustration.

We’ll post again soon with more information about our Christmas operating hours.
